This Sunday: Men and Marriage
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. (1 Corinthians 13:11 ESV)
What does it mean to be a man? Is it about the car you drive, the job you have, or the clothes you wear? Is it about having freedom? Is it about instilling fear?
Paul said, “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child ; but when I became a man, I put away childish things” (1 Corinthians 13:11). When we look at the world around us we see that many of the problems come from men acting like boys, abrogating their responsibilities. To be a man means to take responsibility, it means being tough for your family and tender towards your family. Come this Sunday to Mars Hill Olympia to learn about what it means to be a man. Services are at 9am and 11:15am.
